 Ok, it's cool you asked the question about retiring/quiting, because I've had that internal discusion before. I think if you are proud of what you've done with the sport, and went after your goals and dreams with everything you had, then I think you can say you're retiring. Mind you, it doesn't mean you have to say, &quot;look at me, I'm retiring, I'm moving on.&quot; And announce it to the world. You can do it quitely.
 Maybe the main reason why I wouldn't use the word quiting is because it is a negative word, and it implies giving up.
 So maybe you can just say you are stopping?
