Pictures and Partners May 26, 2008
So things are starting to snow ball a little as we get closer and closer to the games. I am starting to get more and more media coverage which is great because it is always nice to get the truth about things out there. I knew the X files was all fiction because the truth about what goes on in sport and sponsorship is certainly not always “out there”.
But on a positive note many of you avid blog readers may have noticed then new badge in the bottom of my blog. Lenovo is gathering up a bunch of international geeky athletes (ie ones that have at least the lack of social life to write a blog.) and put them on an olympic bloggers page…COOL MADE IT ON…and they just contacted me like they searched the internet for blogs and zerailleur popped up…cool huh. So welcome to the new people who may have found your way to my anti social corner of the web. There is nothing like a hot media connection to bring people together.
From the last blog I have posted some chest puffing podium pictures from the recent pan am championships I blogged on earlier. Don’t wiki quote me on it but I don’t think any male endurance athletes have won the pan ams madison before so that is pretty cool. I hope we can find the resources to keep this going into the next games in London.
What else is new…well in the “normal” day to day life. I went out to Kelowna with my lady for the weekend before I head into my big trip. As of thursday I am away from home pretty much until the games. So this was some much needed bonding time before I desert her to car for our 600 sq ft apartment on her own. People say I work hard but when I am away at least I am distracted…If there are any significant others of athletes out there who might want to here her side of being in an “olympic relationship” let me know and maybe I can talk her into doing a little section on here.
Anyway off to bed…busy busy days a head.
