Check out the NEW VIDEO….wednesday, WEdnEsday WEDNESDAY

Ha ha..the people here in the plesantville that is the Commonwealth Games Village are kind enough to provide us with high speeeeeeeed interweb free of charge…and I, the ever concious blogtastic master of my own domain name have passed the beauty of it all on to you. The Charlletsville Documentary has recived excellent reviews with blog goers saying it is “nearly the best short documentary type film under 3 min set to monastic chanting they have seen all year.” and “Christoph Herby is the best cyclist in a monastic roll in 2006.” “he delivers a confusing and moving performance that leaves you laughing on your side and wondering what date it actually is.”

If you see only one short documentry type monastic film all afternoon make it this one….

Reviews may not be actual quotes, infact reviews are likley entirly made up…but the fact that I went to the trouble should make you want to see it even more…

I have just viewed “The Charlletsville Documentary” and was indeed moved by the stirring portrayal of the time trials and tribulations of a group of down and aero tucking cyclists. Sort of a sureal combination of the Triplets of Bellvue, (there was a bicycle), the Lord of the Rings (It sounded like there was a guy in robes somewhere) The Blair Whitch Project(1 guy with a video camera turned sideways and taking shots of himself), Harry Potter III ( The gigantic snake skin) and of course Born Free (Needs no explanation). Was at once moving and confusing. The emotion and the drama left one questioning the very purpose of life and the dialogue, well monologue actually was worthy of Shakespear or possibly Bacon, or eggs, maybe even some toast. No wait, I shouldn’t write these things before I have breakfast, to easily distracted. Too bad the oscars were last week. It would have been right up there with Crash or Broke Bike Mountain. To say that this film could literally shift the gears of film making as we know it is an understatement. It could deraille the big studios and allow smaller freewheeling film producers to put the brakes on big budet productions and frame a new era in which the cycle of sequel after sequel going to chain theatres will bonk. People will remain at home, infront of their one and a half by one and a half inch screens and become seat stayers to this new generation of films, quick released by the freedom of artistic impression and no longer tired by the……….. well anyway I give it two thumb shifters up.

    Hi Zach:

Your dad and Sylvie were over for a visit the other night and they introduced us to your site. It looks great! We watched the monastic video and viewed some of your photos.

Anyway, we simply wanted to wish you all the best in Australia. It must be quite exciting to be at the greatest games in the world (my opinion).

Have fun, Chris and the Yukon gang.
